I just had a few things to discuss.
First, self checkout at grocery and other stores. I love it and I hate it. Wal-Mart of all places has installed this new mystery technology and the locals are getting their first chance at using it. I was about to stab someone as I watched all the toothless idiots squinting at the screen, finger circling around looking for the "start" button. The cashier actually ended up scanning one customer's entire cart full of stuff. That kind of defeats the point.
Next, as always, is PSU football. Al lot of things have allegedly been happening this season, from the apartment fight to the issues with AS, and the latest allegation of a fight in the HUB. The recent incidents are allegations of course, and as such I don't want to convict anyone yet. What is going on though? I know this stuff has always happened, but after the apartment incident, everyone should have been on their best behavior. To me it points to a lack of leadership on and off the field.

So I was watching ESPN and they have some gay countdown of the greatest college football players ever. Archie Griffin was #21. Only player to ever win 2 Heisman trophy's. Heisman trophy of course is for the best college football player. Lets see, only one to be best twice...hmmm...why is he #21????

Oh yeah, and fuck the brand new route 222 bypass. It is a beautiful 4 lane divided highway with a 45 MPH speedlimit. 45??? Are you shitting me? Oh wait, PA needed some revenue so they have a gay low speed limit on this road. I am not joking about the revenue...I see cars pulled over everyday. How often do you see cars pulled over on your commute?
Couple of things. First, has anybody else been following this JoePa Road Rage story? I wonder if this becomes the equivalent of the Woody Hayes Punch and marks the beginning of the end of his era. If so, if I was those grad students involved, I'd be looking for employment in another state.
Also, I need a ruling on something. What's the proper protocol in disposing of milk that's beyond the expiration date? I currently have milk that was dated 09/30. I was told that you should poor it down the drain. However, I don't want to open it up and risk that scent lingering around my sink for the next week. Usually, I just throw the whole thing out, but I keep forgetting about it. Let me know what the right move is here.
I heard about the road rage and that it is a non-story. At least I would like to think it is a non-story.

Joe, being a cranky old man and prone to pointing out others mistakes, rolled up next to her and yelled out the window "Hey, you ran the stop sign, you could kill somebody." Holy cow, the coaching staff actually put a nice gameplan together. I know, I am as stunned as you are.
My observations:
The Kinlaw-Royster rushing attack has some potential. I think Royster actually lit a fire under Kinlaw's ass. Think about it, for the first part of the season, RB depth was written in stone no matter how poorly they played. You lose AS, Royster gets a few carries and looks good...holy cow some actual competition. This is a good thing.
Dwill is a fraud.
Justin King is a fraud.
Better TE...Quarless or Schuler? AQ had a nasty drop.
Nice to see Brackett in the game. He needs more PT. The guy is huge.
Nice little run by DC when he got in. Also nice to see Devlin in the game.
Sean Lee is a beast. 10 tackles in the first half??
Morelli is decent when he gets a little time. Problem is getting him that time.
The D played pretty well.
Did you notice who got the ball with 4th and inches? It wasn't Rodney...
That was a nice game to watch.
My understanding is that PSU can recycle the gameplan against Indiana. Let the D smack them in the mouth, and give the ball to Kinlaw and Royster (not necessarily in that order).
Problem is that Indiana is decent, and PSU stinks on the road. I expect an ultra conservative gameplan, but if the RB's execute, it shouldn't matter.
Don't call DWill and JKing frauds. They didn't anoint themselves the best players in the world, we did. They both bring so much more to the team than catches and interceptions. I admire DWill more for his work ethic and leadership than for any thing he does on the field. And when players don't live up to their so called "potential," who's fault is that. It sounds like a coaching problem. You can't throw JKing under the bus either. The only time he looks bad is when the force to play of the line in prevent style defense, which they did the entire second half. If you are looking for anyone to callout, try Chris Bell. This kid is a punk and should be tossed. He isn't worth the effort. Andrew Quarless falls into the same category. They are sloppy at practice and off the field and it carries over to the games.
Chad: Agree on Bell and Quarless. Both have the talent and the physical gifts, but they are lazy. Schuler and Brackett at least look like they want to play.
I somewhat agree on Williams and King. Neither live up to the hype, though in King's case, the crappy design of the defense does contribute to him looking lost. To be honest, I think the coaches play the DB's off the receivers because the DB's are not physical enough. At the same time, you do see him running stride for stride with a receiver and then just not making a play.
King looked PISSED at Davis on that play that should have been a pick 6 for King but Davis got in the way.
Williams...I agree he brings a lot of leadership. Maybe Big Red needs to spend a little more time coaching him up. I'd like to see him do well.
A PSU leader down
That is a big loss. You never want to see anyone have an injury like that. I knew it was bad when I saw the play. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Both of these are big. Matt Hahn will be missed on offense.
I just decided that Tom Bradley should NOT be the next head coach.
The defense sucked.
In particular, the secondary, his charge, sucked.
If Bradley coaches one side of the ball and it sucks, how can he be head coach? Both sides of the ball will suck. Oh wait. They already do.
