Ok, a couple of things that we need to go over.
First, I am kicking myself over the Barbaro pick. Ultimately, when we look back at this thing I think that we are going to think of my overruling of that pick in the same breath as New Coke and the Bay of Pigs.
Also, big event on Friday. Will be traveling with my posse (ie, the family) to the world famous Philadelphia Wing Bowl. For those of you not familiar with this evet, let me explain. The Wing Bowl is a chicken wing eating contest sponsored by a local sports talk radio station, 610 WIP. Fifteen years ago it started as a small bit on the Friday before the Super Bowl. It has since grown into a huge events in the Philadelphia area. To put this into perspective, the event sold out the 20,000 seat Wachovia Center in a little under a day. The past two years they had to sell tickets because more than 50,000 people showed up for an event that can only accomidate 20,000. The event is primarily known to for the behavior of the crowd, such as drunk fans and women in various stages of undress. I will keeping a mental log of the happenings there, and will update the blog accordingly.
Next, does anyone here watch 24? I don't want to get into the plot or anything, but one character in the crowd really bugs me. This guy. It just seems that whatever he plays in, he has to be a real ass. He's a borderline ass on that Numbers show, an ass on 24, etc. Hell, he was even an ass in Ghostbusters 2. I don't know if I could be an actor if I only played asses.

Today I would like to discuss the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
I'd like to start by complaining about the tardiness of their response to a simple request. As a part of my job, my company is going to do work within the PENNDOT right of way. We requested some information from PENNDOT regarding their right of way back in September, and we got it yesterday. Thanks, assholes. They said they were too busy and people were out of the office and thats why it took so long. I don't know about you, but "I'm too busy" is not an excuse for being a lazy fuck and not doing your job. Then again I'm not in a union.
Next, I would like to discuss my trip this morning. You see, on Tuesdays, I have a meeting I need to attend at a different location than my normal work location. Normally, this should be a 15 minute drive on a PENNDOT road. Not today. Today I was greeted with a huge backlog of traffic. Why? Well, because PENNDOT was doing work of course! They decided to block one lane of traffic on a limited access highway because they had "work" to do. As I approached this work zone, I was wondering if they were patching pot holes, or possibly doing bridge repairs. Were they? No. Whould you like to know what they were doing? They were sitting in a crew cab pickup truck, and as far as I could tell, giving eachother handjobs while sitting in the cab of the truck.
Thats right, all this traffic blocked, and they were sitting in a truck. No work at all being done.
I left 45 minutes early to get to a meeting at a location that takes 15 minutes to get to normally. I was 15 minutes late. Thanks, assholes.
I would like to have a serious discussion with the head of PENNDOT. If he can come up with a reasonable explanation why his department is such a worthless piece of shit, he will be lucky enough to leave the meeting without 93 stab wounds.
First off, I don't think that the guy is an ass on Numbers. I actually like his character very much. Other than that, I agree. Second, that's all I have.
Well, unfortunately I agree with Wes. This totally supports my theory that Civil Engineers and alike are worthless fuck bags. Has anyone been in a parking lot lately and just yelled "FUCK, who designed this shit." They can't even design a place to park your fucking car without causing some type of death trap. I feel like I am in some weird type of American Gladiators show where a bigger, stronger car is waiting around a corner to kick my cars fucking ass. Well, enough venting and I think I have used my months quota of fucks.
I always heard that civil engineers design targets while mechanical engineers design weapons. I think they are right about the civin engineers. The stuff they design pisses me off so much that I want to blow it up.
