First, off I'd like to thank you in advance for your understanding regarding my not posting yesterday. (God, I really think I am going to start using that line in real life situations. I truly think that I am onto something here.)
Next, I don't know quite how to tell you all this, but I recently did something that I regret and am utterly ashamed of. Often in life you come to a crossroads, and the demons pull you down paths that ought to remain untouched. I can not change what occurred. I can only hope to learn from my experiences. What was my horrible act? That's right, I tried a Boca Burger! And I enjoyed it! (For those of you that haven't left the house in a decade, the Boca Burger is a meatless burger. That just sounds silly saying it out loud.)
I know. I know. How does one get to such a place? It started out innocently enough. A simple trip to my local mega-mart. And there they were in the freezer case. They called to me. Next thing I knew I was throwing them on the Foreman. Delicious. Kind of like an old school bacon burger. Who knew that soy could be so tasty? Like I said before, I hope that this doesn't become a habit for me. In all honesty I was expecting the culinary equivalent of hockey puck or a beverage coaster. But that wasn't the case. Now, I don't expect that I will be making the permanent switch from my beloved all-beef patty anytime soon, but I felt that it was important to get my message out to you all. God bless.
Ok, finally. Onto the good stuff. Drug war. Total BS. Totally. Let's look at it from a purely economic standpoint. First, for all the billions of dollars that have been wasted I don't see any impact on either the supply or demand sides of the equations. Second, I'm not sure I would agree with total legalization of drugs. That being said, I can't believe that the government has let such a lucrative cash cow go untaxed. DWB said it, and now I'm saying it. If you can't beat 'em join 'em. Instead of spending billions a year and getting ZERO results, I'd much rather take the other side, and see a HUGE influx of tax revenue be generated. And I'm not even talking about more serious drugs. Third, this would greatly reduce the strain on our courts and the prison systems, which would in turn save us even more money. Seems to me that would be a pretty efficient way to cut into the huge Social Security and Medicare liabilities that we have sitting on the books. Quite frankly, I can't think of two more dangerous drugs that alcohol and tobacco, but the last time I checked it was pretty easy to get either one. And don't you think that we would have learned something from Prohibition? I guess not. When you limit a person's personal freedom of choice, its only going to drive up demand and limit supply. And when Congress used the 21st amendment to repeal Prohibition, I don't think that the country as a whole turned into a bunch of alcoholic animals. I think that alcohol and tobacco just have bigger and better lobbies. Additionally, I don't think that ANY politician has the ballbag to go in front of the country and admit what a failure this has been. It's been the domestic policiy equivalent of Gigli. We've spent so much money and wasted so much time, that I don't think that there is anyway that we'll do an about-face and draft a policy that makes sense.
Finally, guess who has Castro in the death pool? Oh yeah!
Later.

First off, I too have tried and enjoyed the Boca Burger. I find the french onion flavored variety quite tasty. They are good when you are in a jam because they tasted the same grilled, fried, or microwaved. I won't quit the beef however, and I don't mean that in the gay Von way. As for the drug shit, who cares. Let them all kill each other. Second, I would like to address something the CWG said earlier. "I think we should decrease school funding and welfare programs." I can see cutting welfare programs, but school funding, are you fucking retarded. Why in the hell would you want to cut funding to schools that already can't afford to pay teachers what they deserve. I have a vested interest in this, and I personally witness the bullshit teachers have to go through. And if we are 24th ranked in the world as far as quality of education goes, (seriously 24th, name 24 other countries, it was on Oprah, it must be true) why would we decrease the amount of money we supply them. Maybe we should tax the shit out of TP suppliers since they have plenty of money. The Chad
Third, you are a fag. Take your apology and shove it. We make time to read this shit, you make time to post this shit. The Chad
The chad needs to calm down. The problem with schools is this "no child left behind" bullshit. Not everyone is smart enough or cares to go to school. Let them go. We waste so many resourses on these drains on society, and they end up unemployed and in jail regardless. There has to be a better way, I just don't know it. I also know about how shitty it is to be a teacher. I know a broad that teaches 1st grade and the shit she has to put up with from these beasts is incredible. Let me repeat: 1st grade.
Boca burgers? On any given day I probably have some or their equivalent in the freezer. Right next to the beef.
I'd like to take a minute and go way off topic. I'd like to talk about the FCC. If you hadn't noticed, last week, W dropped the S bomb on TV. Various news agencies replayed it sans sensorship. Now, if someone on the radio did that, its a $325,000 fine. WHy do the news networks get away with it? Why wasn't W fined? Yo blair, we need to fry these A-rabs with a nucular bomb. Seriously, the FCC is supposed to maintain the various radio frequencies and who is using them, not the content on the frequency. It pisses me off.
Come on the chad, kev isn't a fag. He is "alternatively lifestyled."
We have a lot of various topics going here, so I decided to create a list to keep it all straight.
Agree: Teacher pay. I have a compromise. We pay them more, and they can NEVER bring up the fact that the get the whole summer off. To pay for the pay hike, we cut the salaries of MLB outfielders hitting less than .250.
Disagree: The TP Tax. I get a sick feeling even thinking about someone messing with my provider of Charmin Ultra. Let's just act like we never brought it up.
Agree: No Child Left Behind. I would say that at some point you just need to cut your losses on these little bastards. There were kids that I went to elementary school with that you KNEW weren't going to amount to jack-squat. They need to removed from normal classrooms and should be taught how to make licenese plates right now.
We already tax the shit out of TP makers...PG paid 30.4% of our gross income last year, that's 3.182 billion in taxes.
I am not personally attacking teachers when I say cut school funding. I am saying cut out the bullshit. Tunkhannock had 47 teaches retire this year(something about benefits after retirement go down if they didn't this year. Their average salaries were $71,000($3,337,000 in wages. They replaced them with 43 new teachers starting at $37,000(1,591,000 in wages) Difference of $1,746,000. Then I see in the paper that our taxes are going up 4 mils. This adds another 7 million to their budget...So, I go to a school board meeting and ask for an explanation of why they need almost 9 million more this year than last. After all of the lawyer bullshit in their answer. It turns out that they need to redo the soccer field, repave the parking lot of an elementary school, etc...All kinds of bullshit. There is no accountability for the school board to have an fiscal responsiblity. It is as bad as the federal government. I think that if we cut off funding, cap property taxes and make the schools tighten their belts financially, they will be better institutions of learning and not political battlegrounds or a place for Joe Schmo's Uncle who owns a paving company to get some extra work.
I have a ton of respect for teachers and had a bunch of great ones. No child left behind is great in theory. I believe that the biggest issue is that we have forgotten that we still need garbage men and janitors, not everyone can go to college nor should they. Some people are born fuck ups and in our touchy feely new age style of acountability, we have fogotten that some people need to fail so the rest of us can succeed. CWG Out...
cgw got it right. School boards have no accountability. They can raise taxes at will to pay for whatever they feel like paying for. And if you question it, you get a bunch of crap because "its for the kids."
Corporate taxes. I don't know. Think about this: None of us are going to have pensions because they are too expensive for companies to pay for. I know you were promised a great one, but in 40 years, it won't be there. So that leaves personal savings. Where is most of that savings? Mutual funds. Whats in a mutual fund? Stocks. What makes stock prices go up? Profit. What makes profit go down? Taxes. So any way you look at it, we are fucked. Especially since I just opened an IRA with a very well known company and its done nothing but go down. I need to figure out who to send a letter to in order to get my money back. Hey, its happened. The teachers in my mom's district (she is not a teacher) had a huge portion of their pension invested in Enron. As you know, Enron tanked. So who made up the loss? Thats right-the taxpayers in this fine commonwealth.
Disagree: Corporate Taxes. Taxes, believe it or not, are a good thing. A company that is paying higher taxes means that it is prospering financially. Also, corporate tax rates are at historically low points. In 2003, US corporate tax receipts accounted for about 7.4% of US tax revenue. Its lowest level in about 70 years. The biggest problem that we have with tax revenue is that we don't collect all we should. Every year around $280 billion goes uncollected, mainly from wealthy individuals and corporations.
Does antone remember DAVE SMITH. He was the tall goofy guy who did magic freshman year...tall, long black hair. Well..me and the wife have been watching America's got Talent..It is one of those that you shouldn't watch, but can't help yourself...anyway...Dave Smith was on their and made it allthe way to the semi-finals. I had seen him on there about 5 times and it wasn't until last night that I recognized him. He was doing a magician act and he was actually really good. He got eliminated, but was very entertaining...Check link below..

Not sure why it won't paste correctly...I'll break it into two..

If this doesn't work...just go to nbc.com...click on america's got talent and go to episode recap...he is the fifth picture
The Chad told me about the guy from America's Got Talent. Although, we couldn't remember his name. We referred to him as "Highlander" and "the guy who used to breathe fire". But its good to get independent confirmation that it really was him.
I'm all disappointed, I thought you meant Superdave. Highlander was cool though.
Anyways, Kevin...It sounds to me that its not a matter of taxing corporations/wealthy individuals more bt a matter of actually collecting the taxes they are supposed to pay. How much does the IRS cost? You would think those fags could at least earn their keep.
Now for the politically incorrect portion of the program. I was watching this Indian (dot not feather) broad try to park her car yesterday. It was a Lexus IS250, which is a nice car, designed to be a drivers car. It took her 5 tries to get the car in a spot. If you have a car like that, at least learn how to fucking drive. I could understand if she was driving a corsica or something, but give me a break. Seriously, shouldn't she have been at work, at Dunkin Donuts?
How is the fresh meat looking this year?
Von is against teachers!
Those guys get paid $70,000 grand a year? Are you serious? Their hours are better than bankers and they get 3 months off a year! That would equate to over $100,000 if it was what most people do for a living! Nevermind that kids are getting dumber & dumber each year!
Now, I do agree that they put up with some serious crap each & every day & that parents, lawyers, & school boards give them the shaft anytime they try to do something right..........but $70,000 for a teacher that gets all that time off? How about this........extend the school year to a full year. Kids don't need a damn summer break anymore. If we want to compete with other countries then lets teach them all year long! If kids don't want to go to school.........fuck 'em. Let them drop out and get the hell out of the way of the ones that do. Finally, teachers should be paid based on the amount of kids that pass a standardized test at the end of the year!
This will anger the Chad as he is a liberal and spends his money funding the teachers union.......but that's ok. Us good guys are use to being yelled at by tree-huggers like Chad.
Onto more serious debate......I find it funny that Chad & Kevin are eating Boca Burgers! Go fly a protest sign you hippies! What are you all on the damn south beach diet? Boca burgers.......you gotta be shittin' me! Hey, hey,.....hey, I got an idea. I'll rake my lawn, put it in a box and send it to you for some food!
Next topic! If anyone, and I mean anyone, thinks that this isn't the year of the 'FIN, then you're nuts! Mark it down somewhere and remember that you heard it here first.
Finally, if anyone hasn't been watching Treasure Hunters.......check it out. It's pretty funny watching these idiots trecking all over the damn place, digging holes and such. Anyway, what I like about it is that they run a game on www.nbc.com which is pretty fun. You have your own treasure hunt where they don't tell you much.....so it's pretty hard to figure out. Anyway, give it a shot.
CHAD......sorry to attack your liberal niche. I know you can't help it......ur stuck in liberalism. I tell you what, I'll send you a pamplet or something with your box of grass that might kick-start the old' brain and bring you back to the good side!
